I have ten years of experience building database-driven web applications. The work in those ten years includes: simple applications for small teams in a single office; large, complex projects for hundreds of staff across several countries; and everything in between. see client list

Programming

• My development experience is with PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (including AJAX, Prototype and jQuery), CSS and other common internet technologies
• I have managed multiple development and production Linux web servers (RedHat/CentOS and Ubuntu with Apache) for PHP and Ruby on Rails, using Subversion and Git version control systems, and issue tracking applications like Trac and Jira
• I am conversant with shell scripting and Ruby

Management

I have several years experience managing programming teams locally in the UK and USA, and remotely in Thailand. I have spent even more years managing projects and clients across three continents.
